Re:place Radio Presents Episode 2 - Dire Wolfe

I had the pleasure this evening of spending half an hour in the Re:place Radio Pod with the members of Dire Wolfe.

A true LIPA band the guys: Dan Croll, Joe Wills, Tarek Musa and John Stark came together after a pint in LIPA Bar led the producer/engineer side of the band into the studio with frontman Dan Croll to add a band to a collection of his songs.

In this short session I play the two songs avaliable on the guy's Myspace http://www.myspace.com/direwolfeband plus a couple of extra tracks. Its when these guys all start chipping into the acoustic sessions that the songs and the musicians really start to shine. Having played their first gig last night in the Magnet these guys seem to be pretty across Easter and beyond.

Determined to conquer Liverpool the band have been burning CDs on their laptops to promote their music. Look out of an EP in the near future with the tracks featured tonight and a smattering more.

With murmurings about a record deal already floating around LIPA I can almost promise that you will be hearing more from these guys in future. If not because they have signed on a deal then because they are out their themselves promoting their music.
